How My Music Journey Began
In the Fall of 2025, I taught myself to use Suno's AI studio to write songs for my own grieving heart.
If you've lost a loved one, you know there are plenty of songs about heartbreak, but the unique and lonely journey of mourning...
...not so much.
I shifted my focus from writing my own song lyrics, to only using prayers and tablets from scripture—and the devotional songs became a deep form of healing and inspiration for me.
I wanted to play them on repeat on my livingroom tv, so I uploaded them to a defunct YouTube channel I had created a couple of years before.
The channel is called "AllTheWordsORG" because it was created to support a guided grief journal I wrote in 2024:
All The Words We'll Never Say
Soon I began to see that people were finding my songs on YouTube—and the response to the prayers and tablets was so beautiful and so unexpected.
With time on my hands due to being recently retired, and some marketing skills I'd gained in my career as a communications strategist, the purpose and reach of my AllTheWords grief support idea evolved and expanded into creating and sharing soulful worship music.
Some people have strong feelings against AI, and some have challenged my use of it. But I have no doubt in my heart and soul that this is service. My intention here is love.
"All the wondrous works ye behold in this world have been manifested through the operation of His supreme and most exalted Will, His wondrous and inflexible Purpose." —Bahá'u'lláh,
I am brought to tears of gratitude daily by the dozens and dozens of heartfelt comments listeners leave.
Ultimately, If even one of these songs touches a listener's heart or points a soul's trajectory heavenward, I pray the AI technology has served its highest purpose.
